The Story Behind KAVACH
KAVACH wasn't born in a boardroom; it was born from a real-world experience. During a trek in the Sahyadri mountains, one of our founders took a fall. With no practical first-aid on hand, a simple wound developed into an infection. That moment sparked a crucial realization: traditional first-aid kits are often heavy, bulky, and impractical when you need them most.
Driven by this, our student-led team from Akshara International School, Pune, set out to validate this problem. Our surveys revealed a startling gap: only 33% of the general population felt confident in basic first-aid. We knew we had to create a solution.
A Personal Incident
A trekking accident highlighted the flaws of traditional first-aid kits, igniting the idea for a better solution.
Validation & Consultation
We conducted extensive surveys and consulted with medical professionals to confirm the need for a smarter first-aid device.
MediPen is Born
We designed and developed the first prototype of MediPen, an integrated, portable, and intuitive first-aid tool.
Our First Pilot
We're preparing to launch our first batch with the Guardian Giripremi Institute of Mountaineering to gather real-world feedback.
